{March 26, 2010}   Media Agency Developed the Media Plan for the New 3D Cinema

World media agency network Starcom MediaVest Group developed the media plan for the new 3D cinema selling effort for Samsung, working in partnership with NCM Media Networks, a leading integrated media company reaching US patrons in picture theaters, online and thru mobile technology.

to demonstrate Samsung’s leading edge 3D theatre advertising creative, NCM will integrate unique new 3D elements into its FirstLook digital entertainment and advertising pre-feature programme to synchronize with the campaign launch. “We accept that the simplest way to generate excitement for our state-of-the-art 3D TVs is by presenting them in the most engaging 3D environment that exists today — the cinema,” declared Peggy Ang, vice chairman of selling communications at Samsung Electronics America.

Samsung’s new half a minute minute 3D spot, titled “Wonder-full,” was made by Leo Burnett and an elite production crew, including the Oscar-winning director of photography, Mauro Fiore, to bring the miracle of the 3D experience to life. The joys of Samsung is illustrated using the newest 3D digital cinema technology, that has charmed moviegoers across the world.

The 3D theatre spot is a part of a new holistic marketing platform, called “Dedicated to Wonder,” that talks to the pride and fervour Samsung has in making moments of Wonder when purchasers use Samsung products. “Samsung has always been a trailblazer in theatre advertising, so collaborating with them on the launch of their first 3D campaign was a great opportunity,” declared Cliff Marks, NCM Media Networks’ president of sales and promoting. “While 3D is just the newest arrow in the quiver for promoters to use to engage picture audiences, it is going to be exciting to discover how remarkable brands like Samsung continue to develop creatively in our larger-than-life medium.”.
