Lady Gaga made a decision to wind down after her New Zealand gigs by going fishing in high-heels on Waiheke Island.
The Bad Love frontman – who fell down on stage while performing her first show at Vector Arena in Auckland last week – joined Jason Schwarz, general chief of Waiheke’s Goldwater Estate Vineyard, for a BBQ and fishing on the beach at the weekend.
He informed the New Zealand Herald : “She’s pretty eccentric, she did not take her heels off once – she went down to Onetangi beach to go fishing in her eight-inch heels, undies and a man’s business shirt – that is it, she had her bright yellow hair.” Jason announced the 23-year-old singer had appeared “knackered” when she arrived by helicopter on the island – thanks to an all night clubbing session till 4am. He added : “I think she was okay though , she was just pretty tired.” Lady Gaga visited with a bunch of dancers and a bodyguard, and enjoyed grilled sausages, tarakihi and oysters. The Lady Gaga Telephone music video has already caused some controversy with her fellow musicians who have labelled her as a bad influence
Frontwoman / songwriter India.Arie has taken aim towards Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s saucy new video for “Telephone,” calling the promo “socially irresponsible.” The “Video” hitmaker launched her blistering Twitter commentary on the 10-minute promo last week, asking fans, “Am I the sole one who assumes the phone video is going a bit too far?” Her comments sparked a weekend of discussion between her fans and GaGa’s. India.Arie exposed she was agitated by the images of the video and “the unspoken back story, the language, the message.” In the promo, Beyonce and a locked up Lady GaGa seem to be best buddies who plot to exterminate a cheating hubby by poisoning him and all of the diners at a junk food cafe before trying to race away from the law. The video ends with a “Thelma & Louise”-inspired climax as the 2 poisoners hold hands and drive off into the nightfall with the police on their tail. In “Thelma & Louise,” the title characters drive off a cliff to avoid capture.
