Success for Tennis League Networks First National Tennis Tourney

Massachusetts- Tennis League Network (TLN) ran its inaugural ever National tournament on Nov. 6-8 at Crandon Park Tennis Center in Miami, FL. It was well attended by league players throughout the United States. The match play was intense and the players all really relished the beautiful Miami weather. winners were awarded in the Men’s 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 levels and Women’s Open Division.

“This was an absolute delight to run as the tennis participants were all about getting out on the courts and playing some high-pressure tennis” said Steve Chagnan, TLN CEO. The majority of the players who attended advanced their respective playoffs to earn the right to participate in the USA tourney.

The individual cities seasons under the TLN umbrella serve to connect local, dedicated tennis players who love the sport of tennis. We make sure that tennis participants are connected with equally skilled tennis partners. Matches are played predominantly on public tennis courts. It has been a highly successful program, Chagnan said. Since 2006, there have been more than 42,700 matches played; 2009 saw a 51% increase in on court connections over 2008.

After many years of determining local winners, the conception of the USA tourney was hatched to give these tennis participants a whole new level of involvement. Now we get to see who really has the greatest tennis participants; Chicago, Orange County, Austin or maybe a tennis player from a minute franchise like Minneapolis. At the very least it will be a whole lot of tennis with some great early Nov. weather.

Enrollment starts Jan. 1st for the 2010 season for Tennis League Networks 33 online communities, which are committed to bringing together local tennis players of every level — from beginners to open players– who desire to play a lot of singles tennis matches and make new tennis friends. We make sure that both men and women are connected with tennis partners of similar tennis ablilites, says Chagnan.
