Isn’t it great that Spring is in the air. Spring is one of my favourite times of the year as I can get to work in my garden and visit all the local garden centres. This year I intend to do a lot of research online at places like Tesco Garden Furniture for my garden products.
Annuals and perennials are an important part of all UK garden centres stock. If you choose the wrong type for your garden then you could end up with a disaster on your hands.
Trees and shrubs are perennials, as are many varieties of greenery and flowering plants; perennials can be small and dainty, large and impressive, or tall and stately – which means that size is not the sole characteristic that you can rely upon in determining whether a particular plant is perennial or not.
Perennials are the traditional element of garden centers, many with old-fashioned names and old-fashioned memories of simpler times. Perennials will be the main feature of your garden unlike annuals which are trendy and showy. Whilst annuals can provide some fabulous colours to your garden they will not last beyond winter.
Amazing colours and sizes of plants will jump out at you when you visit a garden centre and these are generally annuals. different coloured annuals can set the imagination alive at the thought of what you can create. Larger garden centres usually have their own nursery which means that the annuals are usually freshly picked.
