Just a time ago it looked like powerful laptops were only being built by a few select companies and were built to order, not produced in vast numbers. They were pretty much like a small volume production line. Did not ship a large amount but generated a lot of cash on each system. In my opinion being able to select the parts you want will be a decision maker. Well versed in the technology, these kinds of buyers are savvy to what details to check for.
